The past few weeks have been weird. School-wise and weather-wise. One day the weather is literally sunny and 50 degrees and the very next day it’s 20 and windy with a grey sky. This kind of creates havoc on people and you never know what the moods of people are going to be. Sunny and cheery? Cloudy and grumpy? What’s worse is when it’s your teacher who is most affected by the weather and takes it out on you. I’m not going to name names…but it’s getting exhausting dealing with teachers who don’t have to keep their emotions bridled and just say every little thing that is on their mind. Anyway, I’ve tried to deal with it as best I can and clung to the beautiful glimmer of hope which the fact that we are eventually going to have spring in Kansas. Heck, with the ways things are going in two days we could also have spring for a full day and go back to winter, again.

So that’s basically what I’m dealing with right now. Teachers who have the maturity of college students and actual college students who have the maturity of immature college students. My escape from these stressors are going to the gym and outfit planning. In the evening I escape to the complex gym and get out my frustrations with some angry ball slams. Then after that I plan my next days outfit while checking my weather app wondering which season the next day is going to be.

I like how you toned down the sequins with that (fabulous) scarf! Looks great!
Keep clinging to the hope of spring, winter has to end sometime soon… right? – says the hopeful Minnesotan.

I'm a teacher too and I can totally relate. It gets exhausting after a while dealing with other people's emotions. I absolutely de-stress through outfit planning and the gym. That's actually why I started my blog to begin with, to have a non-teacher place to go and be creative!

That sounds really frustrating and honestly I would expect better of your very well paid professors!
Hope for spring is a wonderful thing… If it snows one more time I might lose it. I couldn't even get my car out if the driveway the other day. Wish we would have a 50 deg day so it would melt!

LOVING those red pants on you! And I feel you on weather being a tease. It's been driving me crazy!

I totally agree with you on both fronts. I live two hours away from the gulf, so it's supposed to be warm. It was 65 yesterday, and now it's supposed to snow tonight. Mother Nature's mood swings are taking a toll on everyone.
Also, love that sequin top!

I have to say that I wish my winter looked like yours right now, haha. TOO MUCH SNOW. I'm sick of it.

The gym is the best for getting rid of anger and stress from school! I definitely went there when I was in grad school. And I hate cloudy/cold weather…it's just the worst! Hopefully your sequined sweater brightened people's moods!

Our weather has been like that too! It is freezing during the week, and then on the weekends it has been in the 60s. My body can't handle the intense changes. Oh, and dealing with adults who act like children doesn't stop – wait until it is your co-workers!! You look adorable in these pictures. Love that sequined sweater!
