You all have seen the variations of the infamous crimson and blue outfits I have worn during basketball season.Quite frankly, if you aren’t sick of these outfits, I am. I find it so hard to have creative school spirit outfits that don’t involve men’s t-shirts that are handed out all over campus.
Something was really different about this outfit though. I am really proud of it. There I said it. I am super proud that I mixed patterns and layered. I was confident and happy with my choices. I was able to balance school spirit+weekend casual. Blogging has made me push myself and be more creative and when I looked at these photos I realized that I don’t care what people say, I love it.

I really like your absurdly bright vest. Like, you aren't just wearing school spirit, but shouting it. and the belted scarf, always a fun way to give shape to the layering.
So is school spirit some sort of requirement? If you don't wear the colors they will kick you out of the school and not refund your tuition?

I love this outfit to show school spirit, it's not outrageous as when you think of school spirit. Love the scarf and how you wore it!

I think finding ways to work your school colors into an outfit can be a challenge. But you do such a great job. This is a really cute idea – subtle and still really stylish. My university's colors are green and yellow. That's a challenge within itself. Haha!

You had me at vanilla Coke zero 🙂 Seriously, this is my first visit to your blog and I read through your about me section before getting to this post and I can just tell you`re a girl after my own heart 🙂 I love the way you layered your scarf in this look, it definitely makes for a much more interesting – and pretty! – look than anything involving a mens t-shirt. And good for you for coming to the conclusion that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks – in every aspect of life, but especially in clothes, the most important thing is to make yourself happy.
