You all are probably very aware of Tara over at MixMatch Fashion. I love her so much and absolutely love how she matches patterns like an expert and always manages to look chic. I swear she could wear polka dots, stripes, hounds-tooth and some other loud print she could make it all work together in one outfit. Plus the girl is constantly finding good deals and is always the best comment-er, I swear she comments on blogs full-time! Anyway, she always manged to put floral prints and stripes together so well so I decided to get out of my comfort zone and try it. Well…I learned that just because the two colors are the EXACT same color it doesn’t mean it works. I’m not crazy about this outfit but it began to grow on me after a while.
What do you guys do when it comes to matching prints and floral prints? Also what is a blogger inspired outfit combination you tried but realized you looked like a complete idiot when you did it? *Yes, I am trying to feel better about myself by hearing your stories*

What are you talking about girl? You honestly look so, so adorable and this totally works! Maybe it's just out of your comfort zone, but I love it! I really appreciate the shout out….and I'm sure the commenting will totally slow down once September hits and I go back to work lol…

I think you pulled this off wonderfully! Pattern mixing can be hard, but you did just the right amount. And the belt helps to break it up. I think pushing yourself and trying something new is a great thing. Gleaning a little outfit inspiration from fellow bloggers is also great.

You did a great job with mixing prints! Pattern mixing really scares me, but I have dabbled in it in small doses. I just love your hair too 🙂 Heather

I'm scared of all things patterned or colorful so I'm not the person to ask. I too tried to make stripes work in my outfit today (but with a solid skirt) but you pulled it off so much better than I did. The florals and stripes look fantastic (besides, some birdie told me that stripes can be a neutral) together. You may feel out of your element but hell, this is a damn good result.

Your mix of stripes and floral is SOOOO ADORABLE! I find mixing with floral SO difficult! I can only do polka dots and stripes LOL! I love your blog and I'm definitely a follower now! YAY! I just started a blog and would LOVE for you to check it out and follow if you like it!

I agree about Tara! She's also my enabler when it comes to shopping for new items. Haha! I was on a shopping ban and saw her wear the polka dot cropped pants from Old Navy. I just had to break my shopping ban and get it . . . along with 4 other pants. Haha!
Anyway, enough of my rambling, I absolutely adore this! I'm not big on pattern mixing either because I haven't quite mastered it, but I love yours! I do believe that it's all about stepping out of our comfort zone that we're worried about because I think you look great in this and did it perfectly! 🙂
