File this under things I don’t understand: When people who see you everyday, specifically on days that you have taken the time to shower, shave your legs (that is going above and beyond the call of duty) and dress up, say to you that you look amazing on the day that you literally pulled your outfit from your closet in the dark, didn’t shower and just pinned your hair back with a bobby pin.
I know they mean it in a sincere way but why am I wasting 20 minutes showering if I get more compliments on the days that I feel unoriginal, tired, praying for a caffeine IV to be pumped into my veins? I guess the moral of the story is that people love it when you are rushed and not getting up early to take on the day.
Blazer: Target (exact and on massive sale)

Chambray: American Eagle (very similar)
Necklace: Forever21 (similar)
Shoes: Target (exact and on sale)
Anyway, I was talking to a friend, who had complimented me, and she said, “That tan blazer and shirt are like best friends when it comes to clothing.” I swear to you that she was sober. So I went with it and later on that night when I was eating dinner and got another compliment I proudly yelled, “WELL DUH! Tan and chambray are like, best friends!”

One of the best or maybe worst compliments I ever got was when I went out with any makeup to pick up the kids. The lady at the front desk said "wow you look so young different without makeup." I kind of stuttered,not knowing how or if I should even respond. The worst part of that whole episode was I was at least 25 years younger than I currently am now. ha The answer to why you would get a compliment sweetie when you basically fell out of bed and threw tan and chambray on, is your beautiful no matter what you do. Some people just appreciate the extra work you go through, and that my dear, is their loss love you <3

I think the reason is over thinking. We all fall victim to it. Heck, we live in a world of pinterest. The days when we are in a rush we reach for the basics that work, and because they work so well, we have outfits like these. Which I will no go and pin, to only further complicate things.
