First I have to tell you how grateful I am for all of your comments, texts and tweets yesterday! I don’t even know when I will get a chance to respond to all of the love, I just want you to know in the mean time that I truly appreciate it! Now back to regular programming.
I have a complete weakness for old music, especially in the summertime. I credit my grandparents for instilling a love of big band, taking 8 years of piano and playing the greats, competing in piano competitions and sitting around with my family listening to the “golden oldies.” Every summer I have Summer in the City constantly stuck in my head.

I feel like this is especially true this year because I only have one grandparent alive now. The death of my grandfather in the spring had made me seek comfort in oldies. Now I can’t help but walk down the sidewalk singing:
