I wore this dress to the ceremony on Saturday. My journalism graduation was at 8:30 am in Lawrence. I didn’t sleep very much the night before the ceremony as I was replaying every possibly scenario that could happen. I flunked all my classes somehow. I fall on my face walking across stage. I forget to put on clothes. However, none of that happened and I giddily walked across the stage after my name was called. I don’t know why but I was nervous. so nervous. I didn’t think it was real.
It’s still a little strange to not be super paranoid about homework assignments. I still feel like I need to check my KU email obsessively. In fact I think it may be August before it really hits because then my mind will realize I don’t have to go back to school. Right now I’m just so happy to be done and will enjoy the next few more laid back weeks!
