Every year I do the dreaded “Let’s see what pants fit after this summer and how many pairs of new jeans I need to get.”
You probably can find me eating sour gummy worms after said trying on of pants day.
I refuse to iron anything. Nope. If Downy Wrinkle Release doesn’t get it out, dry cleaning it goes.
This scarf should have been ironed but seriously, who irons scarves?
I panic at the beginning of every season thinking I will never be able to put together a cute outfit.
I have big strong thighs and calves and therefore no boots will ever have space between jeans and my leg. Seriously, who has that skinny of legs? (I know, a ton of people do and you are probably one of them.)
I hate Flo. I frigging hate her so much. I hate her name. Flo. My mom used to call my period Aunt Flo. Progressive, every time I see Flo I think of my period and want to boycott you.
Flo says it’s hard to look good in corduroy. Whatever. She is irrelevant about any type of fashion; has she seen what she is wearing?
I didn’t do laundry for 5 weeks. Those Victoria’s Secret coupons for free panties got me through most of that.
I have too much underwear.
I am the queen of car seat dancing. I can do a dance off against anyone and win.
I have to sleep with one foot outside of the comforter but if I have both feet outside I get cold.
I am inexplicably filled with rage every time I see overalls.
The only thing that makes me more ragey is leather overalls.
I can’t deal with the super torn and raggedy high waisted shorts. Yo butt needs to be covered. Don’t look like a hussy. Cover those buns. Especially since we are frigging in the fall season.
The end.
What are your honest confessions?
Jenniya
I love your scarf! π

Oh my gosh I am the same way about my feet when I'm sleeping haha, weird. Loving your scarf today!

Aw, I understand where you're coming from with Flo, but I love her! She's the Isuzu Joe of car insurance!
And I hate ironing too. I give everything a tumble in the dryer to de-wrinkle.
Lauren {Fizz and Frosting}
Haha. I love these confessions (AND this outfit, naturally)! I am the same way about wrinkle releaser. It's not that I really dislike ironing, but it's just so darn time-consuming.

Haha, you crack me up! I can't stand that overalls are back "in"…whoever decided that should be arrested by the Fashion Police.

I have the same unnatural rage about raggety high waisted shorts and overalls. Just… why?

Overalls were bad enough when I was in middle school. It is not a trend I care to repeat, ever. Ever, ever. Ever.
anyone letting their butt hang out to any degree should be stopped.
people with toothpick limbs make me angry.
I have been known to iron a scarf on occasion.
I also want to know why VS hasn't sent me one of those coupons in MONTHS. Haters.

"Don't look like a hussy. Cover those buns."
I live in Florida and it literally KILLS me because girls take our warm weather as a reason to wear those awful high-waisted, raggedy shorts from March-December! No lie! It pains me so much.
On a similar note to your overall hatred, I hate those slouchy harem pants. Your crotch should not be anywhere close to your knees. It's not okay and I have no idea who decided that was going to be a thing this year. If it looks and feels like pajamas, it's probably not cute!

I have the same issue with boots! My husband reassures me that big, I mean strong, legs are a wonderful thing. Not when it comes to boots though….

I'm of the opinion that all clothing items should come with various measurements. I mean, boots are impossible! My calves are skinny compared to the rest of my body, and I happen to be tall so I need a size 10 shoe. They assume that a size 10 shoe belongs to a larger calf, which isn't always the case. When I'm a millionaire, I will have custom made boots to fit my long skinny high-arched foot perfectly and also my calves!
And yes, overalls are the worst!
Alyssa
Lol I love these confessions (and your outfit!). I have to admit, I'm an avid non-ironer. There's really nothing I'd rather do less….

I love this post!
The outfit is brilliant, too- it's a bit Rock Chalk and I love that. π

I'll share a secret with you…I don't iron either but a straightening iron works fabulously on scarves. Just run it through really quickly and the wrinkles are gone!
Q and I have both decided that high-waisted cut offs are hideous too! I don't understand why they are in fashion? Seriously, no one wants to see your ass cheeks hanging out!
Also, VS free panties are one of the only reasons I keep shopping there. Seriously, they've got one of the best marketing strategies out there that keeps me coming back for me. Now that I think about it…I don't think I own a single panty that isn't from VS. haha.

Girl, I am WITH YA about the irnonig. I don't even own an iron. (Oops, don't care!) Also, your confessions made me smile. Keep those overalls away and THANK god for winter because I am so sick of seeing high waisted shorts!

Such a fun post. I have gotten extremely lazy when it comes to ironing/dry cleaning/hand washing since…well always, but especially since not living at home! I have 2 dresses in my car at the moment that need to be dry-cleaned. I think the scarf looks fabulous by the way, and oh so cozy. It's such a great legnth that it can almost be a shawl! Yum!

Love the mix here, this outfit is so cute! I am horrible at ironing. I actually don't mind doing it, but who has the time in the morning?!
Krysten @ Why Girls Are Weird
I can't wear tall boots either. I'm super curvy and that includes my legs and it just doesn't work and that makes me SO SAD.
Nikki
First of all, I love this look. So cute and fall-ish. Second, I don't iron either. We have a steamer. But ever since I burnt the SHIT out of my leg last year, I have been afraid of the steamer. So I wear wrinkled things. And sometimes i put things in the bathroom while either my husband or I shower in hope the wrinkles go away. I also hate putting clean clothes away. I don't mind washing and drying them, but I hate putting them away. So they stay in laundry baskets for a long time. And I can only wear boots with my jeans tucked in if the boots zip because I am not coordinated enough to get the boots on without pulling the jeans up. I don't know how people do this.

Super cute gingham and plaid combo!

I always feel like my scarves need ironing, but you're right- who irons scarves?!

I know exactly what you mean about the end-of-summer pants try-on session. I have yet to wear jeans this fall, but I've had to wear plenty of dress pants for work. Maybe this weekend I'll get around to trying on my jeans…maybe.

Beautiful outfit! Love the gingham & plaid mix and those shoes – amazing!
