This post is not for those faint of breath. It’s for those of us who love garlic and things that are delicious and bold. I have, in a moment of weakness, taken like a mini shot of Everything But the Bagel seasoning by itself. It’s not my proudest moment. It’s not my worst moment. But it happened. Anyway, back to bad breath. Today’s recipe post is all about what snacks I have when I want something easy and savory.
Soft Boiled Eggs
I was complaining about being hungry at 10 am when my best friend told me to eat a boiled egg. I was angry so I grumbled about that being weird. Naturally I was proven wrong and it was the perfect thing to eat. High protein, no carbs. Exactly what I want in a snack. Anyway, the next time I boiled eggs I added Everything But the Bagel seasoning. And then I boiled more eggs and ate this “snack” for lunch. For like, two days.
Celery, Cream Cheese and EBTB
Celery is an edible spoon and that is about the only positive thing I have to say about it. One quarantine day I was craving celery, it was as weird as it sounds, and I was like, what if I did celery but made it taste great? I found whipped light cream cheese at Aldi and I realized this was another perfect pairing for Everything But the Bagel seasoning.
Salmon Sandwich
Okay so this one is more than a snack but who’s judging. I LOVE Trader Joe’s bagels. We are starved for good bagels in Kansas and the next best is Panera which is like, average. I LOVE just pouring on the seasoning on a regular bagel if they are out of everything bagels. You get the idea. Here’s what I LOVE to put on my salmon sandwich.
- Plain Bagel
- Whipped Cream Cheese
- Cruciferous Crunch (at Trader Joe’s)
- Spinach
- Over Easy Egg
- Pickled Onion
- Salmon
This is a sort of weekend-luxury sandwich for me. I’ll make salmon on a Friday night and have it leftover on Saturday or Sunday morning. It’s messy and everything you want in a sandwich.

Eggs are my go-to (hard boiled usually). I’ve also seen people putting it on chicken (as a breading?) but I haven’t personally tried that yet.

I love it on top of avocado toast!

Do you buy organic eggs? I will have to try this snack 🙂

I tried it on celery based on your recommendation and now am obsessed. Have also done cucumber! So good.
