Sometimes I get really lucky and have an afternoon off of work and school. On those afternoons Andrew and I try to take advantage of them by going to our favorite restaurant and catching an early movie. We are both pretty picky about what movies we are a) willing to pay $10 per ticket for and b) what movies are really worth seeing in the movie theater versus watching it later on our own TV. On this particular date we discovered that Kevin Hart is in nearly every movie out right now. I have nothing against the guy, but he wasn’t in anything for quite a while and suddenly every movie that is out has him. He has to be just jumping from set to set. Anyway, I say all that because we weren’t feeling any of the movies out right now, which I think is a good indication of everything right now. Winter is making everything kind of “meh,” right down to the movies being shown.
Due to the issue of winter blah I decided that I needed to wear something sparkly to brighten the day. What I chose was a sequin tank that drew stares from people. Apparently, in Kansas, sequin tanks are not appropriate for the daytime. Kansans are weird.

Also, as I was writing this post one of Kevin Hart’s movie Twitter account followed me. ARE THEY MIND READERS?! I had to double check that it was indeed, THE movie account and it was. Weird man. I mean, Kevin nothing against you, I just don’t understand how you managed to be virtually gone for years and suddenly have like 4 movies out at one time. Or maybe I have just been out of it for years and Kevin has really been everywhere but I just haven’t noticed. Either way, thanks for the follow Kevin, I know you totally chose me personally.

The ONLY movie we saw in theatres all of 2013 was The Hunger Games haha! I just do not care to spend that much money for something. When we go to movies its' two tickets, plus popcorn, a drink, etc… and it adds up! (Okay we could scratch the popcorn but who wants to do that!?) There have been some great movies at RedBox lately though since we never saw them in theaters! Did you see The Internship? We rented it even though we didn't hear good things about it and loved it! We also recently rented We're the Millers and it was hilarious!

I know a lot of 'non fashion people' get funny about daytime sequins. I once had a coworker express to me that she didn't see any need to wear a sequin, ever. I wore them to work the next day. Haha.
I am loving this white tuxedo style blazer, the little bit of black trim, so sweet. You are making me want another white blazer. I haven't seen a movie since American Hustle, and before that, I don't even remember. I too am pretty picky about what I see. Because really, it has to be worth the money, and no 3D. Never Ever.

Loving that blazer, that shirt, that bag, those shoes!! It's all awesome! I'm actually about to go see a movie with a friend today, That Awkward Moment. I don't think it's going to be the best movie ever, but it looks pretty funny. If you want to see a hilarious movie, I would recommend Austenland. It came out on DVD yesterday, so you can probably rent it on Netflix now. So so funny!

Love this top and blazer together. The pops of blue are amazing. But I have to disagree, I think there are so many good movies out right now and usually you can't pay me to go to the movies! My recommendations: American Hustle, Wolf on Wall Street, August Osage County and Anchor Man!

at first, i didn't understand the hype around Kevin. we went to go see Ride Along when it came out (only cause i'm a fan of Ice Cube's) and OMG. i never knew he was that hilarious! so when we got home, we watched his stand-ups! seems im a fan now lol.

ah I remember those lucky afternoons when both me and my boyfriend were free in college! Hunter is a big Kevin Hart fan (as a comedian, not necessarily an actor) but I'm not sure how I feel about his movies coming out either.
