I want to scream it from the roof! I am wearing something other than pants! My legs are free! What is this madness? You mean there are more things out there than pants? Normally I continue to wear skirts and dresses throughout the winter but this winter has just completely done me in. Pants have become the uniform and even when I wanted to wear a dress it has just been too darn cold. So the other day when it was a balmy high of 32 I decided that I simply had to wear a dress. Indeed, 32 degrees did feel balmy.

Cobalt, black and white are definitely colors that I am favoring right now. I think that even in my non-blog outfits that I’ve worn they all have this familiar scheme. This whole outfit kind of happened by accident because I was frustrated and threw a bunch of clothes on the floor and this outfit presented itself. I could have gotten back 30 minutes of my life (and date night) if I would have known that just throwing clothes on the floor puts together outfits. I wish it worked like that always.
Anyway, we had our usual date night which ended with me getting a milkshake from my favorite restaurant in Kansas City. The salted caramel milkshake from Blanc Burger is life changing. I didn’t eat all day to prepare for the goodness and calories that are in that wonderfully made shake. I used to be all eh, all shakes are the same, but after getting the salted caramel shake I have concluded that nothing else in the milkshake world compares to that salted goodness. One of the best things about moving to Kansas City is definitely being closer to that milkshake. My waist does not agree.

Yes, 32 does feel balmy. Only in the Midwest….. I love this combo and have on cobalt and black I the blog today too. I'll have to try out this milkshake when I'm down in April for the Go Blog Social with my sister, I swear she's talked about this place too.

Oh, we could be cobalt dress twins! I love this outfit and and totally relate to the weather just being too cold for anything but pants. If it weren't for the blog I might not at all, but it does force me with the mentality that I can't post a whole week of just pants, haha.
