Channeling Your Inner Sasha Fierce

I am a huge believer that everyone has a slight alter ego. Why do I believe this? Because, every once in a while, I have this wild and crazy urge to stay up till 4 a.m. go to bars, randomly jump into a pool with your clothes on and wear a dress with a cutout and lined with pleather. This is in contrast with the normal Alissa who is asleep at 11:00 and considers it a big night if I go to dinner AND a movie. Oh and shaving automatically means that something REAL is going down. Life gets serious when shaving gets involved. 

The other day I decided that I needed to channel my inner Sasha Fierce. I decided to blare some DIVA by Beyonce, dance around in my bathroom, find a bright shade of lip gloss and wear a fun leather-trimmed dress. Why? I have no idea. But it was a blast and I don’t regret it one bit. Sure, I was dead tired the next day from staying up late (a whole 6 hours past my normal bed time) but I also had one of the best nights of my life. 


Side note: When you are getting all wild and crazy with your bad self, wear waterproof mascara. You will be glad you did when you get out of the pool after jumping in and realize you are looking a little cray cray. 


I don’t know what the name of my alter ego is, but I do know that she’s fun. And likes to stay up late and jump in pools. Two things I didn’t realize I loved to do. You should find your inner Sasha Fierce and see what you learn about yourself.
