The month I saw Drake, T-Pain and Lil Wayne in Las Vegas so close I could touch some of them. Oh yeah and I turned 28 but I was so busy I haven’t actually processed it. So let’s dive in!
Wedding Update
My wedding planner is Aharon of The Collective (aka Events and Design by Ashley) and I just love her! A lot of you know my planning background and have asked why I’m hiring a planner. In short, because once the wedding is here I’m going to show you in a very long blog post, I’m having a logistical nightmare wedding. We’re getting married at my childhood home and will have a frame tent reception so we’re literally building a reception from the ground up.
For me, I understand what it takes to have a good event and the importance of a good crew who can bring your vision to life. I am willing to spend a lot of money so that I can relax and not think about the behind the scenes, but instead, be truly present at my own wedding. No stupid questions are to be asked to me, vendors will work with Aharon and I get to enjoy the day I’ve been dreaming of!
We got to have our first real vendor meeting to get the design portion of the wedding going and I have my design meeting this week with Aharon and Ashley. I am SO excited! I completely trust them and I can’t wait to see their ideas. I want my vendors to GO FOR IT with our wedding. Go with their gut and do what they’ve always wanted to do because I firmly believe that when you’re trusting your gut, you are hitting your stride.
Uh, I Saw Drake, Like Really Close
So it finally happened. After all the drama Drake caused me in 2018, we are past that. I saw Drake at his show in Vegas during CES and despite having to defend myself from moving from my close spot, it was all worth it. I had to pull an all-nighter as he didn’t go on until 3 am and I had to be at the airport at 5:15 am and I absolutely regret NOTHING.
Also he basically wished me a happy birthday and handed out bottles of his new luxury champagne so Drake and I were living our best lives that night. He jumped on stage and immediately started going all the way back to Views and mixed in all of his hits. The. Best.
Oh and I pretty much only took two videos and then was just there to experience the rest. I was like the only person just enjoying it and it was kind of sad to see that. Everyone was on their phone and I just feel like a lot of people missed really being there.
P.S. He’s probably going to announce a Vegas residency and if he does, don’t be cheap. Get the all-access tickets or else you’ll only see the back of his head.
Shopping
I LOVE red so much this year! This dress was a total impulse buy but I love it so much. You can dress it up or down and the sleeves are so fun! They make even my bare face and skinned need look dressed up. I would size up.
These black heels were exactly what I was looking for! I love the pearl detail. Plus if you get a new dress you need new shoes for it right?
I haven’t liked Ann Taylor much lately but this jacket called to me and then it went on super sale and I have it. It’s perfect to wear for a fall or spring day so you don’t have to wear a coat. I like that you can make it be presentation ready or just throw on with some jeans and heels. Specifically, these heels.
Oh! The BEST buy so far of 2019 has been this dress from J.Crew that is on MASSIVE sale! I got the blue one for $40 and as soon as I got it bought the red one. It’s perfect for some work events that I’m staff on in the coming months. It runs true to size and if you’re fuller busted, you’ll probably need just a tiny safety pin to make sure it doesn’t go too low.
Oh and I got this super limited-edition Ted Baker dress that goes PERFECTLY with my wedding Jimmy Choos so it felt meant to be. I was in Florida for work last week and got it on SUPER sale. I’ll wear it to my bridal shower and get some fun pearl shoes too. (The Jimmy Choos will only be worn at the wedding!) Maybe these to complete the look?
Skincare
I’ve GOT to work my way to through all the skincare I’ve been hoarding with all the holiday sales. Right now my shelves are exploding with intense hydration to get me through the winter months.
My next items I have ready to be tested are Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Skin Treatment, First Treatment Essence Mist (starting using this on planes!), Snail Repair Intensive Essence (right after I finish my tried and true Snail Mucin Essense) and Drunk Elephant’s Protini™ Polypeptide Cream. (The last one is Sephora’s birthday month gift)
So far the peptide cream has been my favorite discovery. I do get a small tingling sensation when I put it on so I’m closely monitoring how my skin reacts before I give it a place in my daily routine.
Tried and true: If I could do eye masks every single night I would. Wander baggage claim masks remains a favorite and worth the money. The only complaint I have is that I want to buy it in packs of 25 instead of 5.
And Finally….
My favorite thing this month was getting to say THIS IS THE YEAR I AM GETTING MARRIED! Like, this is so bizarre! My wallet definitely feels it but sometimes it doesn’t click. I am writing so much wedding content to share with you this year (slowly so this doesn’t become a wedding-focused blog) and it feels like such a surreal feeling to be now blogging about my OWN wedding.
October 5, 2019 can’t come soon enough! (Okay yes it can, I still need just a litttllllleee more time, but you know what I mean!)

Oh my gosh I love all the clothes you picked out. That blue dress is amazing as is the red one too. And I totally love the reception dress, you look amazing in it! You set a date too? Shut up! How exciting is that!!! <3

Did I miss the Jimmy Choo wedding shoes?! Have you already shared a picture of them? YAY for a wedding date!

I still can’t believe you’re getting married on my wedding anniversary! So obviously it’s good luck. 🙂
