Love your skin first. Then enhance it.
These are my tried and true items I use either every day or once a week. It’s never too early to start protecting your skin and finding out how your environment affects your skin.
You can find out my secret to full lashes (no falsies here!) in this blog post. I have used these mascaras for years and they have never let me down. The secret is all in the brush. You can have the cheapest mascara in the world but if you have a brush that works with your eyeshape you can make magic!
I’ve written about it a few times. You can find out my five-minute morning skincare routine here. You can also see other skincare favorites here. I’m always updating you on my favorite beauty finds so join the newsletter and be the first to know!
The best thing I ever did for my natural curls is stop using DevaCurl. While I know this is slightly controversial, my experience was very negative. Currently I use mostly Ouidad products but I frequently mix up gels and mousse pairings to get the optimal curl. Innersence is a great product line as well.
The second best thing you can do for your hair is go to a professional who knows how to work with your curl and bring out its best. I currently go to Meg at Curls Gone Wild in Wichita, Kansas who specializes in curly hair.
When possible, try to dry your hair naturally using the pick trick to help with volume. You can also use a buff or a silk scarf to help protect your hair at night.
